Montlake Associates is a real estate and infrastructure advisory firm based in Helena, Montana, serving clients across the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West.

Montlake Associates was founded in 2015 by Peter Baker, Anthony Jansen, and Frank Stauff. Peter had founded Peter E Baker Management in October 2012 after a 20-year career in the construction and real estate industries, working with a growing roster of Pacific Northwest commercial and institutional clients. Anthony Jansen joined as Project Manager in December 2013, and Frank Stauff joined as partner in July 2015 when the firm formally became Montlake Associates.

Peter relocated Montlake's practice from Seattle to Helena, Montana in 2020. Anthony Jansen is now a Principal at Cascade Ridge Partners, a family office-focused real estate development firm in Seattle. Frank Stauff is now President of Compass Construction, a leading Pacific Northwest general contractor. Peter continues to lead Montlake Associates, maintaining close professional relationships with both former partners.

Today, Montlake serves clients across four core practice areas: digital infrastructure development, commercial development and infrastructure, institutional and publicly-funded projects, and strategic advisory. Our purpose is to provide our clients the ability to effectively manage and administer complex real estate and infrastructure projects to desired results.
